Late post of our Selametan for Jamu. This ceremony of Nasi Kuning (yellow rice) is to celebrate the life of Jamu, our cat that passed away last month. A lot of people are sad, a lot of tears, but Jamu already brought a lot of smile, laughter and happiness also.
Nasi Kuning is like that. The mountain shape is just like our journey back to the source of Life. The yellow is the symbol of gold and prosperity, a hope of a prosperous life. That journey is surrounded by a lot of colors, a lot of experience, wether it is a sweet one, salty, bitter (yes, from the papaya leaves, it is very healthy though), spicy, hot. One thing for sure, in Indonesia life is never plain 😄
Thank you for your life Jamu. It was short, but full of life. Thanks for every love given and received by Jamu. And thank you everyone for coming and celebrating this continuation of life 💚
