anātman

A photography exhibition on impermanence and no-self — shown at Omah Lor Project during the Festival Kiamat Ekosistem, and at ISI Yogyakarta.

Anātman — “without self”, “without core”. Nothing is eternal; everything changes, moment to moment. Without self, family, ethnic, national, religious, even species identity fall away — and what remains is connection, gratitude, and a compassion that flows to the “living” and the “non-living” alike.

The series was made over years of photographing, and later became the seed of the book REINKARNASI.
